🇬🇧 Silently working on several projects which have me super excited for whats to come! Planning for Afghanistan and Pakistan is underway, and Im just realizing I wont be taking a drone on this trip. The anxiety is starting to kick in, so here are some drone pics from Mexico! ____________________________________ 🇪🇸 Estoy trabajando en silencio para varios proyectos chulos que traeros muy pronto! La planificacion de Afganistan y Pakistan está ultimandose y justo me doy cuenta que será mi primer viaje en mucho tiempo sin un dron. Aguantaré la ansiedad?

🇬🇧 If you read my book, “Stories”, you know that one of my mottos is that it’s all about the journey, not the destination. Paricutin Volcano and the ruins of the church of San Juan was another testament of that. Sure, its a natural wonder of the World, and the lava fields were crazy beautiful, but the protests and roadblocks we encountered on the way in the middle of nowhere in Michoacán definitely stole the show. Negotiating our way out, I couldn’t help thinking that if I made it out safely I’d have to rewrite Mexico’s story in my book! ____________________________________ 🇪🇸 Si habeis leido mi libro “Stories”, sabéis que soy un convencido de aquello de que importa más el viaje que el destino final. La visita al volcán Paricutín y las ruinas de la iglesia de San Juan fue una nueva constatación de ello. Sí, es una maravilla natural, y lo cierto es que los campos de lava son imponentes, pero sin duda con lo que me quedo es con las anecdotas intentando negociar nuestra salida de las protestas y barricadas en aquel pueblo perdido en medio de Michoacán. Mientras vivía esos tensos momentos, no pude evitar pensar: bueno, si salgo de aquí, me toca cambiar la historia de Mexico en el libro!

WHAT’s THE BEST PUEBLO MAGICO IN MEXICO?____________________________________ 🇬🇧 Most tourists will agree that it’s San Miguel de Allende. It definitely has the picturesque colonial wonders to back it up. Well kept colorful buildings in a characteristic yellow and red, cool restaurants and hip stores. It’s probably the obvious pick! Somehow though, it lost a bit of its charm in this mainstream flourishing. Avo toasts and smoothie bowls replaced the once quintessential Pueblo Magico. There are 121 of these magical Mexican towns, and trust me, you’ll find many still have their magic intact! Save this post for future reference and stay tuned to more insightful tips on where to go in Mexico! ____________________________________ 🇪🇸 CUAL ES EL MEJOR PUEBLO MAGICO PARA VISITAR EN MEXICO? La mayoría de turistas responderían que San Miguel de Allende. Y, sin duda, tiene todas las joyas coloniales que podríamos necesitar para sustentar esta opinión. Sus cuidadas calles, edificios coloridos en rojo y gualda característico, y tiendas y restaurantes de moda. Es probablemente, la opción más evidente. Sin embargo, en mi opinión, perdió un poco del encanto con su boyante popularidad. Las tostadas de aguacate y los smoothies reemplazaron la esencia del Pueblo Mágico por excelencia.
